321 Mile Challenge for Down Syndrome Research

Siobhan and Dan Pritchard are remarkable parents of remarkable James, amazing ultra runners and tireless supporters of RDS and research to develop treatments to assist memory and learning in persons with Down syndrome, as well as address the increased likelihood of Alzheimer’s disease.

Tomorrow, through Sunday!, Dan is running the Leadville Trail 100, yes, 100 miles, and over elevations ranging from 9,200 to near 13,100 feet. He must complete this run in 30 hours, in order to “finish”.
Here is the story of Dan and Siobhan’s 321 Mile Challenge, as they compete in ultra races and marathons this year totaling 321 miles, raising awareness and $$ for Ds cognitive research:
