Here is Beth’s story on why she is running for her son Michael on behalf of RDS Runners in the Running on Love 5K in Montclair, NJ.
“I am running for my beautiful son Michael. Mike is 11 years old and has Down syndrome. He is a happy, healthy, loving boy. We call him the “heart” of our family. Steve and I believe that the research supported by Research Down Syndrome Foundation is the best hope for improving Michael’s quality of life and the lives of others with Ds. Please join me to support this research to improve cognition, and be a part of the breakthrough!!!”
We would like to ask who else will run with Beth for Down syndrome research in Montclair? You can email RDS at firstname.lastname@example.org for information about the event.
RDS would like to thank the 21 RDS Runners who competed in the Air Force Marathon and Half Marathon races this past weekend. The team fundraised a combined total over $14,000 for Down syndrome research. Here are some pictures that our runners took on race day.
